“Hey baby.” I said into my phone to Jaime when I called her.
“What is going on?” Jaime asked.
“It’s not good. Laura is in surgery for an open heart, she had a heart attack it seems.” I told her.
“God, she is the healthiest person I know! How could she just have a heart attack?” Jaime asked.
“I don’t know. Last Thanksgiving, there was a guy I worked with named Mike. Mike worked out everyday. Drank his greens. He was the poster boy for being healthy. He was only 53 years old, he woke up in the middle of the night supposedly with chest pain, he called 911, but by the time the ambulance got to him, he passed away.” I told Jaime.
