“Will you stop pacing?” I said to Jay.
“I can’t help it, two hours ago we got a phone call that they are bringing a baby to us! I mean we just passed everything to become foster parents, and I know they said it could happen in the middle of the night, but damn it why did it happen in the middle of the night?” Jay was rambling.
“Sweetie, I love you but you need to calm down. We don’t know anything yet. All the social worker said was they got a baby that needs a home, would we take her. It might be just for a few days.” I told Jay.
