The next morning, I called Kelly to tell her what happened and to tell her I would not be in to work today. I added Adam would most likely not be in either, but I knew he had to call. I was just giving her the heads up.
Kelly was devastated. She wished we called her last night. I thought about calling her but the truth was I just had a lot on my plate last night.
I went into the livingroom to find Jaime with Mitzi talking.
“Hey Hubby.” Jaime said to me.
“So you did call me hubby last night when I got into bed. Ok, I know it was a long night but when did we get married?” I asked her.
Jaime giggled and Mitzi rolled her eyes and said “Kevin, get hip with the terms they use now.”
“Huh? Ok I’m lost. What does hubby mean? Last I knew it was the term you used when you are married.”
