I was driving Jay back to his condo. As I drove with one hand, Jay was holding my other hand. The silence between us was comfortable. It felt right.
I sighed and decided, I needed to bring up the elephant we had between us.
“Three weeks, Keira and I are going to Florida for school.” I said.
“I know, Keira finally had the conversation with your brother. They are giving the long distance a chance. I really feel they are going to make it. Baby girl really does need this independence to really find herself. She has come such a long way in the time I have known her.” Jay said.
“What about us? You think we will survive the long distance?” I asked him.
