It was late at night when my phone rang. I saw that it was Evan that was calling.
“Hey! How has the drive been so far?” I asked him.
“Good, we are in North Carolina. We just got checked into a hotel for the night.” Evan said to me.
“Laura was freaking out when heard there was a hurricane watch. She is afraid you guys are driving into a storm.” I told Evan.
“It is fine, we had good weather. You can tell Keira has never been out of PA, she has been excited with the sites we saw on the drive so far.” Evan said.
“I miss you.” I told him.
“Me too, I admit I saw these old wispy trees lining the roads here in North Carolina. It is very southern looking, and I thought, I love Jay to see this. We have to do a drive like this one day. Me and you taking in the sites across the states.” Eva
