Grabbing the top of the dresser, Olivia pulled herself up. She raised her left foot off the floor and planted it on the second drawer. Just when she thought she might get away with it, the dresser started to tip. She knew it would be better to jump down, but instead she leaned her weight forward, trying to create a counterbalance effect. Her mind worked faster than time itself. Even as she tried to heave herself up on the dresser, she knew it wouldn’t happen. She had this horrible feeling, sicker than sick, like a knot in her guts.
