Bella’s POV

I lay on the hospital bed while the Dr. does and ultrasound.

Dr L-know far along are your”

B-“I’m 3.5 months”

I can’t see the ultrasound screen but the dr and a worried look on her face.

Dr L- I’m sorry Luna but I can’t find a heartbeat. We will have to induce labor or surgically remove the baby. I will give you a bit to think about it.

The Dr. walks out and I feel like my heart was ripped out of my chest. I thought I didn’t want you but I grew to love you and was looking forward to meeting you.

I close my eyes. Why moon goddess. Why take my baby from me. The potion didn’t work to abort her but you took her after I grew to love her growing inside me. Dom walks back in with a sad look on his face. I can’t even look him in the eyes.

Please send my baby moon goddess. Please. Dom comes over and lays his hand on my stomach and I feel a kick. I shoot to sitting up Position.

B-“did you feel that?”

D-“ yes I did. I mindlinked the dr.” He has a tear slipping down his cheeks.

Dr. Laura walks back in and does another scan.

“It’s a miracle. The heartbeat is back and strong.”

B-“I prayed to the moon goddess to bring my baby back and she blessed me”

Dr L-“I’m going to put you on bed rest for the next 2.5 months just to be sure.”

B-“thank you Dr.”

Happy tears are streaming down my face. Dom sits next to me and takes my hand. Sparks shot through leaving a warm loving feeling.

D-“ I know we didn’t get off on the right foot but let’s start over. My name is Dominic Dark. But my friends and family call me Dom. I’m 23 years old and Alpha of the Dark moon pack. And I Dominic Dark except you Bella Hallowell as my mate and Luna.”

My heart feels like it explode from happiness.

B-“ I’m Bella Hallowell. I’m 18. In from New Orleans. My mother is a witch and my father was a head warrior of the Crystal moon pack.”

D-“I know you might not want to say but I want to know if you will tell me. Who r***d you.”

I take a deep breath.

B-“well I’ll start from the begging if you bare with me. Well my mother is a witch and my father was the head warrior for the Crystal moon pack. When I was four years old there was a large rug attack. Many died including my father. He died protecting his Alpha. I grew up with my mother off of the pack land. She owned a shop in town. Yeah Alphas son Tony. Well I guess he’s the alpha now. Has wanted me to be his since we were 14. I refused and refused. A few days after high school finished the pack had a graduation party. A few hours and we were chatting and he got me a drink. 20 minutes later I feel sick and he brings me up to his room to lay down. He forcefully mated and marked me. He tried to keep me drugged throughout the week to see if he got me pregnant or not. I refused to eat anything that week. I found out I was pregnant on day six. Are use my powers to escape. My mother gave me some money and I’ve been on the run ever since. He almost caught up with me a week after in about a month ago. I don’t know if he’s given up or is just waiting for me to come back.”

I look over to Dom and his eyes are black and I know his wolf is in charge. I will kill him. We Will go and visit your mom after the baby is born and I will kill him. Don’t worry little Bella. That is not his baby anymore it is mine.

This last part makes me smile. He wants to claim my baby as his own.

He picked me up bridal style and takes me to his bedroom at the pack house. Nodding at people as we pass. I am lulled to sleep for the peace and comfort of his arms.
