Geo I could hear the steady beat of machines as they hummed in the background. There was a ringing in my ears and my head hurt. I tried to open my eyes but they felt heavy. In fact my whole body felt like it was made of lead and there was a metallic taste in my mouth. The beeping got faster and I could now hear voices, but I couldn’t make out what they were saying. The rhythm of the beeping slowed again and lulled me back into the darkness where everything felt better.
