“Otsana! Otsana!” Paul's voice came booming through the house, shaking me from my peaceful rest. The urgency in his tone made me sit up immediately, my heart pounding. I threw off the covers and hurried to the door, wondering what on earth could be happening.
By the time I reached him, I could see that Paul was heaving for breath, bent over slightly as if he had just sprinted a mile. His face was flushed, and for a moment, I wasn’t sure if he was genuinely exhausted or if he was putting on an act.
