I pulled my phone out and unlocked it. I tap on the green button next to Sam's name.
"Hello? April?" She asked, almost in disbelief.
"How's the almost birthday girl?!" I asked, then chuckled. That was the same thing I asked Asher.
"Oh! I'm doing fine."
Suddenly the line went silent, then you could hear two loud voices,
And then just one.
"April! Aye, you weren't going to wish your best friend a happy birthday?!" Dallas fake gasped over the phone.
"Happy birthday, weird dude who always followed me everywhere!"
"GASP! How dare you!" He chuckled.
"Happy almost birthday Dallas..."
"Thanks, all it took was a reminder, is it going to be like this every year?!" He asked with fake hurt.
"It's not even your birthday yet!" I laughed.
"Whatever." He scoffed
