***NATALINA POV***
Without missing a beat, Alpha Michael, Luna Mira, Kristy, Beta Justin, the alpha’s brother, and a couple of other wolves I didn’t recognize all shot up out of their chairs. All of their eyes were glowing yellow, with the exception of Alpha Michael.
They were orange and twinkling, almost like they were burning.
And they scared me.
Alpha Michael’s eyes made me worried that he was no different than my father. I backed away, pinning myself against the wall, instinctively protecting myself because I was scared senseless of what was going to come next. I didn’t want to feel the sting of another bruise, least of all one given to me by anyone here. I was worried--no, terrified--that that was coming next.
I had to get out of the room.
I fled with Kristy hot on my heels.
