There’s something liberating about confronting your abuser.
After dinner, Aly and I were talking with Vixy, Kristy, and Monica about a variety of topics, and I realized just how sheltered I was to the world. That was probably Father’s intentional design. A girl can’t fight for something she doesn’t know exists, right? Vixy had promised that she’d shift into her fox after she completed the mating ceremony she had to do because she was mated to a wolf. I tried to follow the conversation the best I could, and from what I could gather, the mate bond between her and Jean-Marie would die if she shifted beforehand. I knew for a fact that that would kill Jean-Marie’s wolf, so the rest of us girls just had to be patient.
