“Doc, give me another shot so I can go out there and defend my f*****g land, do you hear me?!” I ordered Dr. Miller. “This is not your patient speaking, this is your Alpha, and yes, I’m fully aware of the possible long-term effects of this stuff, especially with how much of it I’ve had in the past couple of hours, but goddamnit, the f*****g pack is about to be attacked by a band of thuggish, brutish, psychopathic motherfuckers. So if you don’t give me an infusion that will get me to the battlefield right now, I’m banishing you and classifying you as a rogue. It’s entirely up to you.”
Before Dr. Miller could respond to my directive as his Alpha, Nat and Monica came into my exam room, both looking just about as angry as I had seen anyone before in my life.
