Chapter One

The sun was shining brightly above the crown if the trees and the birds were already singing their best tunes when the alarm started to beep on her bedside table. Tina tapped around herself to find the source of the annoying noise and breathed a sigh of relief when she finally hit the damn phone and silenced it. Not like that would change the fact that she had to get up, but at least it would give her a few more minutes until Nena started shouting from the bottom of the stairs. - Miss Tina Waters! You young lady better be up and ready by the time I finish prepearing your sandwich, or else... Here we go... The shouting has always arrived on time... She never finished the sentence though, and since Tina was a good girl, she never risked to find out first hand what the "or else" meant. With a few ugly words muttered under her nose, she sat up in her bed, and shouted back, that she is awake. She dragged herself into her bathroom, took a quick, lukewarm shower and brushed her teeth, then a bit more awake she stumbled into her wardrobe and picked out her outfit for the school day. Nothing special, just a pair of decent looking black jeans and a pretty blue top, which went well with her favourite blue sneakers. She brushed her long and wavy, honey coloured hair and put it up in a messy bun. She grabbed her backpack and ran down the stairs to the kitchen before Nena would start shouting again. "Morning!"- she said while grabbing a granola bar to munch on while throwing her lunch in her bag and her coat on her body. " GOOD morning you mean.. And by the way, it wouldn't kill you to wake up five minutes earlier and have a proper breakfast at least sometimes!"- was huffing Nena, while handing her a bottle of water. " Sure it wouldn't, as it wouldn't kill you, to smile and be nice at times.. yet here we are"- she answered jokingly and threw the water in after her sandwich. " Oh, look at you miss smarty pants... You sure are cheeky enough to be 16.."- smiled Nena while fixing Tina's coat, before pushing her out of the kitchen towards the front door. " And you sure are the best nanny a nearly 16 year old girl could wish for"- she laughed as she kissed Nena on the cheek and ran out to the car waiting in front of the house. She opened the door and settled in the backseat before she would greet her driver and the other passanger. "Right on time, as always! Good morning Tina!"- said the familiar female voice from the driver seat. "Good morning, aunty Elle! Thanks for the ride again!"- said Tina in a cheery voice. "You are more than welcome my dear future daughter in law!"- she turned back before driving through the gates. " Mooom! How many times do I have to tell you, that we are just friends???"- whined the other passanger, who was none else but her BFF, Matt.  " Sure, Matty.. But a mom can dream, isn't it??"- Elle giggled as she drove down Kingston street towards Kingston's High where both kids were going to school together. Aunty Elle wasn't really Tina's aunt, she was simply the closest thing to family Tina have ever known. She and Tina's mom were best friends since her family moved to the city and Matt and her became best friends right away. They were only 5 at the time, but they became inseparable in a blink of an eye. They grew up together just like siblings, since the two families were very close. "T, you shouldn't laugh on her stupid jokes, it only encourages her to call you my girlfriend!"- whined Matt now at her. " Come on Maymay, we all know it is just for a laugh. Although who could be a better dream man than my handsome big brother, huh?- she messed with his hair, which made him laugh and pull away the same time. They started calling each other brother and sister when they were 11, when Matt broke his arm because of falling from an apple tree. Tina wasn't allowed in the hospital room to see him, as she wasn't immediate family, so she lied to the nurse and said she was worried for her brother. It stuck ever since, and they didn't mind if even some school kids got confused about their relationship.  They kept messing with each other on the rest of the trip, and she was in her best mood by the time they arrived to the school. They waved aunty Elle goodbye and ran in to first class, before they would end up late. They only parted when arriving into the back of the class, and Matt sat down next to his friend Caleb while Tina sat with Trish, her second best friend.  Her and Trish shared all the same classes, while Matt and Caleb only joined them for the first and last class. The three of them were the only friends she had, but it was the best group she could have wished for. Matt was the sportsman of the group, the best basketball player, nearly 180 cm tall already, while secretly a geek as the rest of them. He was the best student after Tina, and was highly popular with the girls due to his dark brown  dreamy hair and bright blue eyes. Not like his lean and muscular body didn't add to the picture, or the dimples on his face when he was smiling. And he was smiling a lot. Caleb was the technical genius of the whole school, he could hack into any system and fix anything with electricity running through it. He was a bit shorter than Matt, and quite thin, but still attractive with his beach blond, wavy hair and sparkling green eyes.  Trish was the sexiest gamer girl of the year, as all the boys called her behind her back, with very well developed curves and very charming heart shaped face. Her short red hair only made her more hot, and all the boys turned after her when she wondered down the hallway in shorts and a tight Tshirt, her typical outfit. Her brown eyes only liften from her gameboy when someone spoke directly to her, or if she was with her best friends. " I am so lucky"- Tina thought to herself as she looked at her friends sitting around her in class, before the bell rang and the class took her attention from her own self.
