"Ms. Lopez, there's one last thing," Emma said over the video call, updating Isabelle on the company's latest developments. "Selena has been trying to call a shareholders' meeting while you're recovering, but the other shareholders have blocked her twice."
'Selena just can't sit still,' Isabelle thought. 'She's probably furious that I'm still alive.'
Isabelle had expected Selena to stir up trouble while she was out, but the shareholders weren't blind. They could clearly see the profits Isabelle had brought to Lopez.
As long as the company was making money, they didn't care who was in charge.
