The loud crash from Alexander's fall immediately drew the attention of everyone downstairs.
They looked up to see Isabelle standing at the top of the stairs, her hand covering her mouth, her eyes wide with shock and fear.
Alexander lay motionless on the stairs, blood slowly seeping from the back of his head. No one could tell if he was still alive.
"Alex!" Dana screamed, racing up the stairs in a panic.
"Get the doctor! Now!" Matthew shouted, rushing after her.
Selena, initially stunned, quickly snapped back to her senses. Following closely behind Dana, she yelled at Isabelle, "What did you do to Alex?"
Isabelle stood frozen, staring at Alexander's unconscious body. Furious at her lack of response, Selena shoved her hard, causing Isabelle to stumble into the wall.
