The riding bodysuit was, in effect, barely anything at all, just a single cord of fabric below the waist. I couldn't possibly go out in this, I thought, already losing my nerve. But I was curious, desperately curious, about what was waiting on that saddle. I had come this far. I took a breath and walked out. The instructor assigned to me stared. The moment I swung up into the saddle, the shock of it nearly threw me off the horse entirely. Now I understood why Mrs. Calloway had been so particular about what I wore. The modified saddle had been designed with hidden intent. At precisely the right position, there was a raised ridge, its edges set with small, movable beads. Every step the horse took sent a grinding, relentless pressure through me. I pressed myself forward against the horse's neck, eyes stinging, barely breathing, and murmured to the instructor, "Slower... I can't take it." His gaze darkened. "It's your first time. Your form isn't quite right. Let me ride with you." Before I could respond, he had swung up behind me, settling in close. His hands slid along the outside of my outfit and closed over my chest, and he brought his lips to my ear. "Let's pick up the pace," he murmured. "That's when it really feels good." I had no time to refuse. He took the reins and gave the horse a sharp flick, and we were off at a gallop. I was barely holding on, my whole body pressed back against his as he steered us away from the open grounds and into the grove. Then, without warning, he wrapped his arms around me and turned me to face him. A moment later, with a slight lift of his hand, he guided me down onto his lap...
