EIRA’S POV
The moment Aria’s presence left the cafeteria, so did the tension. I could hear people exhale around me, like everyone was holding their breath in her presence. I exhaled too, calming my racing heart. My clothes were still a bit disheveled, and adrenaline still hummed through my veins.
“Come, let’s go eat and forget about what happened,” Lucien said softly, placing his hand on the small of my back.
I nodded slowly, and they guided me towards a table. Kellen went over to the food stands while Lucien and I took a seat as we waited for him. He appeared a few minutes later, dropping a tray of food for both of us.
