EIRA’S POV The morning I had been dreading finally came, and trudged down the hallway with heart hammering in my chest. My stomach was a shaking, fluttering mess. I tried to pretend I was calm, but it felt like every student who passed me knew what I had done, that the princes weren’t about to corner me and drag me somewhere private to- “Eira.” Lucien’s voice almost made me jump out of my skin. It was deep, controlled and far too composed. I turned around slowly, and there he stood, a stoic look on his face. His eyes locked on to me with a chilling intensity that made my throat tighten up.
