I always hated the way the top floor smelled. It had this faint smell of disinfectant and old books. I wouldn’t be up here if I didn’t need to see the principal. Kellen had his hands slipped in his pocket, eyes narrowed and jaw clenched. I could tell he was still very much enraged by what the twins had done.
Was it a good idea to meet the principle with Kellen in such a state?
I shook my head, dispelling my worries. Seeing the principle was something we needed to do. We both came to a halt in front of his office door. On a gold plate, the name Principal Aurelius Thorn was engraved on it. I looked down at the doorknob, exhaling slowly.
I knocked once on the door, and it didn’t take a second for us to get a response.
