KELLEN’S POV The first thing I saw was the camera. It was tiny, but the red light beeping gave out the fact that it was indeed a camera. It was away at the bookshelf, just behind a book at the very edge, a place where shadows gathered. My brain went into overdrive, as I tried to process what I was seeing. My gaze shifted, landing on Ares. He was standing right at the bookshelf, fingers still lifted, adjusting the angle of the camera in a way that it got a good view of the entire room. Seeing this intruder in our mate's room made something snap inside of me. The sound that escaped my throat was inhumane. It was a growl that was so loud and sharp, it made the building shake.
