EIRA’S POV I stirred as my consciousness slowly returned to me. The sound of rhythmic beeping filled my ears. That was the only thing I could hear for a few minutes as I woke up. My body felt like it weighed tons, and my legs refused to understand. When I finally cracked my eyes open, I found myself staring at an unfamiliar, white ceiling.
