EIRA’S POV The last day of camp came upon us, but the words Aria had thrown at my face last night didn’t leave my mind. I stood by the window for a few minutes, watching the way frost accumulated at the base of the glass. There were mountains and trees in the distance, each of them covered in snow as white as a sheet. Behind me, Aria moved around as she slipped on her gear carefully. I didn’t look at her, and we coexisted in silence for a while. Today was the end of the assessment. Evaluation day.
