There were a few times that Tommy or myself had to stop and run to the very back with him to make sure he didn’t stop for too long. Hell, there were a few times we both had to go to the back of the group with him because he had fallen to his knees, and neither Tommy or myself could lift him up on our own. And every time we would get him to his feet, it didn’t take long before he was sitting down again or down on his knees taking deep breaths. I know one thing for sure is that the three of us got damn lucky that we didn’t get left behind. This may sound stupid, but sometimes I wish we had gotten left behind. I’m not sure if that would have changed anything or not though. I seriously doubt it. Anyways, we hiked for a way farther. And before long the sun had started to set slowly behind the
