The pack doctor examined me for a while before turning back to Avery and Rhoda, who were waiting impatiently to hear from him.
“Doctor, how is she doing? Will she be fine?” Rhoda and Avery chorused.
“It’s really a miracle that she survived. She needs a lot of rest, and might not walk for some time because of the nail injury on her feet.” He replied with a faint smile.
“Thank you so much, doctor.” I snapped at him, before he walked out of the room.
Avery rushed into my arms with tears in her eyes. I needed no one to tell me how much she had missed me. Of course, I missed her so much as well.
“Oh, my dear, Rachel. I thought you would never wake up again. Thanks to the Moon Goddess. I don’t know what I would have done if anything had happened to you.” She sobbed in my arms.
