Richard got into the office earlier, happier and stronger that morning, something that had not happened in weeks. On his way up, he even said hello to a dozen people he didn't even know. The two nights he had spent in the cabin alone with Annie were all he needed to get back to his usual cheerful self. He also happened to know that Annie was no longer seeing "clients" which meant she was all his and that gave him the kind of satisfaction he only ever got from success and a couple of beers. "Good morning Sally...Finally today is the day. You know how you have been covering for me all this while? Well, today I am going to make it up to you...," he started the moment he got out of the elevator making his way to the customer care desk. "More salary for me...That's my boss," Sally said happily.
