Kyrah groaned in pain and struggled to get up, dusting off her pant as her eyes darted across the dark room.
The light on the table flicked on and off and kyrah wondered just what creative way martin had invented to torture her. Well, she might as well find out.
“ Father.“ She called out hoping he didn't notice the slight trembling in her voice
“ Have a seat. “ He ordered, his voice unusually gentle. Rather than helping her calm the voice seem to only add to her uneasiness but she took a sit regardless, her sweaty palm fidgety.
Martins finally left the light on but he spared kyrah no glance as his eyes were fixed on the picture in front of him. In the picture are four very good looking Young men and a lady whom kyrah recognize to be her mom in a high school uniform.
“ Do you recognize her? “ He asked Kyrah as his hand trailed the face of young Mandy in the picture
“ Yes, that's mom. “ Kyrah responded, not sure where the conversation was headed but she was cool as long as it doesn't involve her bleeding out. Also, she couldn't deny her curiosity. She looked at martins hoping for him to continue but he seems lost in his own world.
He trailed his fingers on the picture of young Mandy and gave a sinister laugh. ' All those rejection, only for you to still end up being mine, what a sad ending baby.' He muttered to himself not catching the confused look on kyrah's face when she caught him talking to himself like a psychopath.
Martins had always held a strong grudge against Mandy, blaming her for the unpleasant experience he had in high school. He blame her for making him a monster, for turning that poor innocent nerd into a murderer. He lit a stick of cigarettes and puffed out the smoke on her face as he went down memory lane.
Years back he had somehow managed to get into the prestigious high school that only the rich and influencial could afford, through scholarship. It was one of his biggest dream come through. He grew up in a family where three square meal is a miracle, and education? Well, that's not an option. But he had somehow managed to crawl his way into the mighty Scotland high school after so much dedication, what he didn't expect was the way he was treated as though he's not a part of them, like he didn't belong.
Puffing out smoke from both his mouth and nostril, he squashed the cigarettes butt on the ash tray beside him and took out another stick.
Back then, he was bullied by the bad guys continuously until he met his savior. He still didn't forget how pretty she looked when she scolded those guys and threatened to report them as her family is close to the principal, he had watched them take to their heels with their tails between their legs, and the victorious smile on her face as she turned to him waiting for praise is one martins couldn't forget in a hurry.
Martins trailed his fingers on Mandy's cheeks once more, though more softly this time as his eyes filled with emotions, but then it disappeared the next second like it was never there. He took yet another stick of cigarettes and took a long drag as those memories kept flooding in.
Little martins got obsessed with the girl he had just met and would keep following her everywhere even when she told him not to, no one dared to bully him when she was around and the fact that she fought for him and gave him gifts made him believe that she loved him and silently, he claimed her as his own.
Martins dream was shattered when he got introduced to Frank a pretty boy with dark long hair as Mandy's boyfriend. He felt like he couldn't breath and the feeling of possessiveness in him surged. He wouldn't let someone else get what rightfully belonged to him, and Mandy? She's all his.
After then, he started stalking her and wouldn't miss a chance to tell her how he felt about her, persuading her to break up with Frank and be with him.
There was a day he had gotten her all to himself in the ladies room hoping to have his way with her so she could finally acknowledge him only for him to be pulled out and trashed by frank and three other guys whom he later found out to be franks closest friends, They were every high school girl's sweethearts. They were from the most powerful ,rich and affluent family and the fact they are good-looking was a cherry on the top.
Martin was totally humiliated by the group of guys for trying to force his way with Mandy as they were filled with rage. All he did was fall in love, he didn't think he deserved to be punished and treated as such.
He still remembered being expelled from the school he had tried so hard to obtain admission. He didn't want to be like his father and brothers, he wanted a better life and this school was his only hope of being a different person from them but this four guys ruined it, how could he let them go?
He waited for Mandy to come to his rescue like she always did but she never did, she stood by the side and cried her eyes out as she clutched the jacket that frank had placed on her to cover the torn part of her dress.
That moment he vowed to seek revenge on each and everyone of them for ruining his life and chasing him into the cold and brutal life that he wanted to escape from.
' I would make their life a living hell, I would ruin anything that's precious to them, I'll make them a living catastrophe, existing but not living.
