The clouds were pitch black, occasionally brightened by a flash of lightning. The air had grown very cold and a strong wind was howling. The city below expected a very heavy storm to come pounding down on them within the hour and the residents started hurrying home as quickly as possible. The meteorologists were left confused wondering what had gone wrong with their earlier prediction. There had been no sign of a storm of any form. Their equipment and the data collected showed the day was going to be very bright and sunny, devoid of rain or storm, but it now seemed very evident there was going to be one and it looked like a very big one.
