Vaeldric stood frozen. His gaze swept across the room, moving from the cracked trophy in my hands to Lysara, then back to me. It was as though he was trying to piece together everything that had just happened. "What happened?" I offered a faint smile. "Can't you already figure it out?" I walked past him without stopping.
