"Come with me." Cyran said it so casually, as if he wasn't asking me to go anywhere important. I shook my head without hesitation. "No." "You didn't even ask where." He let out a quiet huff, though he clearly hadn't given up yet. I folded my arms across my chest. "Because the answer is still no." I stressed every word. "You're wasting your anger." I raised an eyebrow. My mood had already been terrible since this morning. Now it was getting even worse. "Me? Angry? I'm not angry." "See? That's exactly what angry people say." I slowly let out a breath, forcing myself to calm down. Even after all these years apart, Cyran could still read me too easily. Or maybe I was simply too expressive. Without another word, he pulled out his trump card. I tried not to look interested. I failed.
