Adrian's POV
As I looked at her retreating figure, I knew I messed up my chance this time. Nathan was trying to comfort me but I knew he was just doing it out of the relationship we had. I did not know what came over me, I just saw red immediately I saw her hugging him.
I could have blamed Daxon for what happened but it was all me and Daxon is very mad at me right now.
"We could have had a chance with her but you f****d it up again, human!" He bellowed in my head and I bowed my head in shame.
It all started in the morning when I heard her running like something was amiss only for me to realize that she was doing so because she thought she had missed her practice. I was at the top of the staircase listening to everything that was said between Mom and her.
