His smile faltered before he started speaking. "Sure, darling. I'm sure we can work out something while putting your terms into consideration", his smile returned to his face.
Behind him, I heard a sharp intake of breath before Fay spoke up. She walked up to where Damon was standing and stood beside him with a look of shook on her face. "Damon, you can't do that to me", she said, her voice raising with every word. Damon's smile vanished as soon as it came on his face and I found it scary.
