It was only a matter of time before I found out what selene was really up to. And when I did find out what she had been doing and with who I must say that I was quete upset. Selene had not ony betrayed me and our bond but the entire pack.
I noticed it in the quiet moments first.
Not in the arguments — those had become predictable, sharp, exhausting. No, it was in the silences between them. The way Selene no longer filled the room just by existing in it. The way her presence didn’t pull at me through the bond anymore, didn’t bristle or flare or clash with mine like it used to.
She was… distant.
