Lanterns lined the cave walls, providing the dim light needed to navigate the cramped passageway.
“Um, Ma’am. What exactly is this place?” Dorian asked.
“Please call me Milara, and this place is called Dragon Claw. It was built many centuries before even I or Julius were born. It was originally constructed as a temporary home during the dragon rebellion,” Milara replied.
“What dragon rebellion?”
“It was a period of ten years when a sect of dragons rebelled against the Sanctuary elders. They were driven out and took refuge here. One of the dragons that drove the rogues away was Moren. It was said that he created the three fissures in the ground with his claws and then helped construct the city down here. The rogues wanted a kingdom to rule for themselves, so
