Chapter 24: Training Grounds
The next morning, Xia lay in bed watching Dorian sleep, a wide smile from end to end. He twitched, talked in his sleep, as he lay dreaming. “No, stop it. Don’t do that your mother will kill me,” he mumbled.
Xia stroked his hair chuckling, stirring him from his slumber. “Hey,” he whispered.
“Good morning. You were talking in your sleep again.”
“Really? What did I say?”
“Something about me, I think?”
“I was dreaming about us.”
“What did you dream?”
“I saw myself inside our home in the Grotto. You kissed me and left the house. When I turned around I saw two small children. Then I chased them around the house. They were laughing and causing trouble. Then one of them almost broke the vase that Harken gave us as a wedding present.”
“I really like that vase.”
