“Darling…”
Dorian’s pacing continued as he muttered under his breath.
“Darling.”
His pacing continued. “Dorian…you’re worrying.”
“Oh! I’m sorry. I’m just so happy,” Dorian replied and returned to the bed. “When this is all over I promise to give you and our child the best life possible,” he proclaimed.
Xia smiled and kissed him. “I love you, Dorian.”
“I love you too, Xia.” Dorian draped his hand around his radiant wife. “I’m going to be a father,” he whispered and chuckled. Not long after his ecstatic outburst Xia realized that Dorian had fallen asleep. His outburst had drained him. She smiled and gently nestled his head against her chest.
“Tired himself out, I see,” she said with a chuckle. She closed her eyes and soon joined him in a peaceful slumber.
