Screeching beasts and roaring dragons echoed in the sky outside as the invading heroes searched the daunting fortress. Dorian and Xia hurried through the renewed hallways, soon entering a spacious altar room. A statue of Tisipherine towered above them, looking down with a warm smile.
“That statue really doesn’t do her justice,” Dorian murmured.
“Oh, really? Is she prettier than me?” Xia asked.
