Once they parked in front of the large, sprawling mansion, Brent turned the car off and both he and Gio got out of it and went around to the back of the black Mercedes, Brent opened the back door and Gio leaned inside and removed an unconscious Lilith and carried her around to the basement where Vincent always kept his prisoners at until he figured out what to do with them.
Gio followed Brent into one of the old rusted cells, and placed Lilith's limp body on the cot that was inside. After placing her on the cot, Brent and Gio walked out of the cell and closed and locked it behind them. As they were both heading back up the stairs that lead up to the inside of the mansion, Gio stopped and looked back at an unconscious Lilith who was lying still in her cell and then looked over to Brent and asked curiously. "Hey Brent, what do you think is going to happen to the girl?"
"If my suspicions are correct, and they usually are. I think the boss is going to hold the girl, hostage here until everything dies down with whole David situation and then he's going to kill her." Brent answered as he reached into his shirt pocket and pulled out a cigarette and placed it between his lips and then lit it with the lighter that he had in hand, and then removed it from his lips and let out a large puff of smoke.
"Damn that's sad. I mean if you are correct about what the boss is going to do to her, then that is such a waste of a beautiful girl." Gio turned his head when he said that and shook his head.
"That is just how our world works kid. People who get involved with our misdeeds die all the time, whether it be an innocent like her who managed to discover it by accident or be it someone like David Moralez, who stole from the boss and thought that he could get away with it unharmed. You need to get rid of that innocence that you still hold inside of you and let your soul become dark like the rest of us." Brent finished uncaring about Gio's feelings and then motioned for him to follow him which he did.
Making it into the kitchen after coming in from the basement, they heard the sound of Vincent's personal chef Pam and the rest of the kitchen staff, busy preparing the four-course meal that was going to be served here tonight at the annual meeting of the Gambino family. Which was scheduled to take place in several hours. When Brent and Gio got to the kitchen door and ready to open it to leave and go to Vincent's office to let him know that they had brought the girl, they heard Pam ask as she continued to wash some vegetables at the sink. "Would you boys like some coffee? I can brew some if you would like."
"Yeah that would be nice. Whenever you get finished making it, bring it to Vincent's office." Brent answered as he kept his hand on the half-open swinging door.
"Yes, sir. I'll have it made and brought to you in about ten minutes." Pam said as she placed the washed vegetables into a strainer and then placed it on top of a white kitchen towel beside the sink so that it could catch the water drippings.
"That will be fine, Pam. " Brent said and then motioned for Gio to follow him and they left out of the kitchen, leaving all the noise behind them.
After making it up the large white marble staircase, Brent and Gio walked a couple feet down the well decorated hallway and stopped in front of Vincent's office door and knocked and waited until they heard the sound of footsteps come towards the closed door and opened to show Vincent standing there with a lit cigarette in his mouth.
Vincent looked at the two men with a cold look and then said. "Well, don't just stand there you f*****g idiots. Get in here." Vincent walked back into his office and the two men followed him inside with Gio closing the door behind them as Brent went and took a seat in front of Vincent's desk.
With the door now closed, Gio with his hand pressed against the side of his still sore head, quickly walked past Vincent's desk and sat down in the seat beside Brent while trying not to make eye contact with Vincent.
Their boss stared at the two men with a cold, dark stare for a few minutes, acting as if he was trying to read their thoughts. Feeling as if he couldn't read what the look on their faces were telling him, Vincent flicked his cigarette ash into his ash tray and then asked them both. "Did you two manage to find the girl?"
Brent nodded his head and the answered. "Yeah, we found her and brought her here."
"Good. Good. Did you have any trouble bringing her here?" Vincent asked and then eyed Gio who was still holding his head and asked. "And why is he holding his f*****g head?"
"Well, you see boss. We did have a little issue getting the girl." Brent replied as he scratched his head in nervousness.
"What kind of little issue?" Vincent asked, c*****g up one of his dark eyebrows in curiousness.
Brent rubbed his hands onto his pants, still nervous about what he was about to tell Vincent. Quickly, he took a deep breath to try and relax himself and then said. "Um well, you see boss. When we showed up to her house, we ended up having to chase her through it. And at some point, during the chase, we all ended up in the living room. I told Gio to grab her and when he tried, the girl grabbed a medium-sized glass bear figurine and busted it over his head and knocked him out cold. With Gio out it was up to me to get her under control, so I had to dive on her, which ended up ending with her knocking herself out when the back of her head hit the floor."
Vincent rubbed the side of his temples, feeling as if he was starting to get a headache after hearing all the stupidity that he had just heard. He shook his head in disbelief and then said. "I can't believe you two couldn't handle one tiny girl. You two are f*****g idiots. Did you at least put her in one of the jail cells downstairs?"
Brent nodded his head in response as he watched Vincent put out his cigarette in the ash tray, and then watched as a slight smirk formed on Vincent's face and then heard him say as he pushed himself up and out of his desk chair and away from his desk. "Come on you two, let's go see if the little princess has woken up from her nap yet."
Knowing that they couldn't say no to Vincent, The two men got up from their chairs and followed Vincent down to the basement where Lilith was.
