Family reunion

The house was fully furnished. It had a modern look but it was also vintage. I loved it. Me and Monah chose our rooms. Our rooms were both the same size, each one with it's own bathroom and walk-in closet.

When I entered my room I was so excited. It was beautiful, Dan had also baught me some clothes to wear to work and a few dresses. The kitchen's supply closet was stocked up and we had a beautiful swimming pool. I already knew that me and Monah will be spending most of our time there.

Dan arrived at our house exactly 3 days after we arrived here. "Hello ladies. How are you liking your new home?" Dan asked. We were in the living room while he was in the kitchen, so he couldn't see us. When we entered the kitchen Monah stopped abrubtly and gasped loudly. When Dan turned around to look what was going on, he also looked shocked. "Momo, is that you?" He asked her.

To say I was confused is an understatement. "Uhh what is going on here?" I asked still really confused. But they ignored me and engulfed each other in a hug. Monah started crying and Dan stroked her hair comfortingly. I didn't know what to do or to say so I just stood there awkwardly.

"Oh babygirl, I thaught I would never see you again." Dan said to Monah looking at her with so much love and sadness in his eyes. "Dad why did you leave us?" Monah said through her tears. Wait, did she just say dad? "What the f**k is... Happening?" I asked, frustrated at myself because of how confused I was. "Aeli, meet my dad. Dad meet my best friend." Monah said to us. So I decided to play with her "Monah, meet my boss. Boss, meet my sister not by blood but by heart." I said with a smile.

Monah walked over to me and gave me a hug. "Aeli if it weren't for you. I probably wouldn't have ever seen my dad again. I knew the Goddess sent you on my path for a reason. You are my best friend and my non'related sister. And thanks to you I have the one person I have been searching for, for more than 8 years, right by my side. You have big things coming your way hun. I just know it" Monah said with happy tears rolling down her face. 

"I have to agree with her. Thank you Aelianah you have brought me my piece of gold back to me." Dan said. I was confused as to why he left her. "Wait, what happened? Why did you leave her and why couldn't you find each other?" I asked really confused. "Monah's mother kidn*pped her after I had her sent to rehad. She wasn't mentally stable. A few weeks after I booked her in, she broke out of rehab and then she ran away with the kids. She changed their names and her own. I searched for years non'stop but I couldn't find them." Dan said with a sad look on his face. 

"Mom took us to an old beaten up apartment in California. She was using drugs and she was an alcoholic. She wasn't home for most of the time but when she was she would either be sleeping or beating us. So after I turned 16 I ran away with my little brother. I stole money from a box she kept in her room and took a bus, Ian and I were on rhe street for almost a week when I met Nick and Sam. We started a small group, we were all working hard to earn money and when I finally had enough money I took my brother to a boys school. He is turning 13 this year. I usually went to visit him every week. But then I got a message from mom one day saying that she will kill us if she finds out where we are, so I stopped visiting Ian. So that if mom finds me that he would still have a chance. Its been a year and a half since I saw him." Monah said while sniffing.

Monah has a bad history, but I know deep in my heart that she is going to get through it all. She is a strong person. "Monah, I am so sorry about what happened to you and your brother. But I know in my heart that you will get through this. You are a strong person with a big heart." I told Monah giving her a hug.

After Monah and Dan's little family reunion, we went out to get dinner from a famous restaurant in the village. Monah's diner will be opening in three weeks. Her boss said that she wants it to be exactly the way Monah would want it so she sent some people to get Monah's ideas about the diner. Monah was confused as to why her boss would just give it away like that but she soon realised that her boss is even more rich than the eye can see. The gallery will be opening in a week from now, since Dan already had it built. He just waited for the right person for the job.

After our dinner me and Monah went home and Dan went back to the hotel that he will be staying in for the next couple of days. We were both standing in the living room when I thaught about something. "Monah, why don't you go get your brother. He can go to school here and he can obviously live with us. The house is big enough and if you have problems with money, I am sure Dan will help you. You guys can be happy again." I asked Monah. She looked as if she was thinking it through. "I am going to go get him. I just want to be there for your grand opening. After that I am going to go to his school and then I am bringing him back." Monah said.

The week flew by faster than I would have liked. Noah called me everyday. But I still missed him a lot. I was stressed out about the opening of the galary. Dan took me to there yesterday so that I could look at everything and tell him if I have a problem with anything. He had some of the finest art pieces braught here. My office is very spacious and the galery itself was also very big. The grand opening will be happening in 2 hours from now.

So while I was waiting for the time to pass, Monah came to my room to help me prepare for the opening. "What outfit do you have in mind, maybe something sexy but formal?" Monah asked. "I haven't even thaught about what I am going to wear. I have been too stressed out, what if I say something wrong or what if the people don't like me?" I started ranting

"Don't worry so much. You are going to be great, they are going to love you." Monah reassured me. "I am going to go pick an outfit for the both of us. Just relax a little bit." Monah said before going to my walk-in closet
