“What do you mean I’m in heat? Why is this happening?” she asked, her voice laced with confusion and fear.
I could see the panic in her eyes, and it tugged at my heart. “Because you're changing. It’s part of being a werewolf,” I explained gently, trying to keep my tone soothing.
I had dreaded this moment. I had hoped that she would acquire her healing abilities first before we mated. It would have made the experience less painful for her, especially knowing it would be her first time. But now, there was only one way to alleviate her suffering.
