When we were about halfway through our meal, I mentioned that I’d be clocking out early to meet up with Millie. Hunter just nodded in acknowledgment. Theon, of course, couldn’t resist. He flashed a smirk, and I braced myself. “I’d offer to drive you to Millie’s, but you might fall asleep on me,” he said casually. I was really hoping no one would bring that up—but clearly, Theon had other plans. I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as embarrassment settled in. “Stop it,” I warned, pointing my fork at him in a mock threat, which only made the others laugh harder. But he wasn’t done. “Seriously, I didn’t mind carrying you, but man—you drooled all over Hunter’s car last time.” I gasped, horrified. “That’s not true!” I shouted, glaring at him. Theon’s grin widened, clearly enjoying himself.
