"Once I've given it, I don't take it back." Charles pushed the money back to Feliz before walking out of the shop.
"What's with him?" Feliz muttered to herself, not quite understanding him.
In the evening, Feliz sat waiting for her boyfriend at the bus stop. Today, Tim said he would pick her up. Just his promise was enough to make her heart swell because, lately, it was rare for her and her boyfriend to meet.
"Hey... have you been waiting long?" Tim asked Feliz warmly, flashing a sweet smile at the petite girl.
"Not long... I just walked out of the shop a moment ago," Feliz replied.
"Are you hungry? Shall we grab something to eat before going back to the dorm?" Even though he sometimes stood her up, his good side, his cute and caring nature, made her endure.
"Sure... I'll go along with whatever you want, Tim," Feliz said with a smile.
"Today... can I stay over with you?" the tall figure asked, gazing at her sweet face, trying to convey his meaning.
"Well... I... uhm... maybe not, Tim... my bed is small... it might not be comfortable for you," she evaded, as she always did whenever Tim asked to stay over. She often found excuses to prevent him from staying with her.
"Then... you can stay at my condo. I'll take you to university tomorrow... how about that?" The tall figure continued in a gentle tone, persuading her. Even though they had been dating for almost three years, he had never gotten what he wanted from her, and Feliz always found excuses like that.
"It's inconvenient for you, Tim. The university and your condo are in opposite directions."
"Come on, Feliz... we've been together for a long time... it's normal these days." Tim's voice started to show a hint of irritation as she kept rejecting him.
"But I'm not ready yet, Tim. Please understand me."
The tall figure let out a heavy sigh to calm himself before trying to speak in a gentle tone again. "Alright... I'll wait until you're ready, sweetheart."
"Thank you for understanding."
"Sure... I can wait... I've waited for three years, so what's a little longer?"
"I'm sorry, Tim... I disappointed you again," she said with a remorseful tone, but she truly wasn't ready. She was still studying, and even though she was a medical student and knew how to be cautious, she still wasn't ready to be with him.
After finishing dinner, Tim dropped Feliz off at her dorm. It was a day when she was in a really good mood, probably because she had to spend time with her boyfriend.
"Get to your room safely... I'll be going now," Tim said goodbye to his girlfriend.
After his girlfriend went up, Tim drove off and parked in front of the building.
Bang!
"Did you wait long, Tim?" a sexy woman in a tight-fitting short dress asked the tall figure as soon as she got into Tem's car.
"No... are you trying to tempt me by dressing like this, Pam?" His desire, already present with Feliz, intensified when he saw the sexy woman he was involved with.
"I only tease you, Tim. When are you going to dump that girl?"
"Pam... try to understand me... I've been with her for a long time... you just got here, so don't start making demands, alright? You know what will happen if you cross the line too much, right?"
Pam swallowed hard, knowing the implications. Even though she knew about Tim and Feliz's relationship and tolerated being with Tim because he was the son of a very influential politician, she put up with being just an outlet for him because of the money and comfort. But if she ever thought of controlling Tim, he would surely discard her.
"Yes, I understand..." And she knew well that it was because Feliz never gave Tim what he wanted. In the end, she was the one who had to deal with Tim's emotions, though not always hers. Of course, Tim had more in his stock.
Meanwhile, Riz's called Feliz.
"What's up..."
"Are you free, Feliz?" the voice on the other end asked.
"I'm free..."
"Well..."
"Riz... what's going on?"
"Are you still doing well with Tim or whatever?"
"What do you mean?"
"I... saw your boyfriend at a club with a woman... they were getting really cozy with each other."
"That's not true..."
"Honestly, I've seen it more than just today, Feliz... I've caught them many times... if you don't believe me, we can video call."
"Yeah... sure."
Then her friend hung up and immediately video called. The image she saw was very clear, leaving her feeling numb and heartbroken. The man she loved was nuzzling his face into the neck of a woman in a tight dress, one hand roaming over her body.
Her heartfelt heavy, as if something was pressing down on it, making it hard to breathe. She couldn't believe it, even though it was so clear.
"Liz... are you okay?" Her friend's concerned voice asked.
"Not okay... ugh... I'm really not okay."
"Do you want to come stay with me? I'll come get you."
"I want to go to the club... come pick me up so I can see it for myself," she said with a trembling voice. Even though it was very clear, she still wanted to see it, to make the pain hit harder, and so she could finally walk away.
"Alright... but if you see it with your own eyes, you have to break up with him... don't let him talk you into staying, no matter how hard he tries."
"Okay." Then Feliz got up to get dressed and waited for her friend to pick her up. She wasn't one to dress up often, but she did have some revealing outfits stored away.
She picked out a light pink spaghetti strap dress, just above the knee, and carefully applied makeup to look a bit more beautiful and sexy.
"Alright... today I'm going to be single." Even though she wasn't fully ready, she had to be strong and move on. She wouldn't let herself be fooled by him again! Lies, being late, breaking promises, she could tolerate. But cheating, she could not and would never understand.
Knock, knock, knock!
She opens the door!
"Liz!! Why do you look so beautiful?" Riz raised an eyebrow at her friend's outfit, which she wasn't used to seeing.
"Isn't it good?"
"Why wouldn't it be good? It's great... today I'll help you find a new boyfriend."
"No... I'm just going to break up with him... and then I'm done with anyone else," she said, her voice noticeably sadder, prompting Riz to rush in and hug her.
"It's okay, Feliz... come on... today I'll help you confront him."
"Thank you so much."
At the Famous Club...
"There he is... it's in the VIP section."
Feliz turned to look where her friend pointed. She stood frozen, clenching her fists tightly, tears she tried to hold back streaming down uncontrollably. Her body trembled with anger and disappointment.
"Riz... what are you doing here... and... Feliz, are you hanging out in a place like this too?" Riz's brother greeted his sister before turning to look at the petite figure with an unfamiliar look. Today, she looked so beautiful and captivating that he couldn't help but smile with satisfaction.
"Hey... go back to your table. I brought a friend to take care of some business. We'll be leaving soon."
Thump, thump, thump!
Feliz paid no attention to Charles, who was talking to his sister. She focused only on the two people in the VIP room who were all over each other, before storming into the room with emotions building up.
"Tim!" her voice shouted as she opened the door.
"Feliz!!" He was shocked to hear his girlfriend's voice and quickly pulled away from Pam.
Red lipstick stains were smeared all over the corner of his mouth, extending to his neck. It was an image that shattered her heart, tears streaming down her cheeks uncontrollably.
"What is this?!"
"It's not what it looks like... I was just messing around... it wasn't serious, Feliz... Feliz... listen to me first." He tried to approach her, but she kept backing away in disgust.
"What else is there to listen to? Lipstick marks all over your neck, you must have been really into it, right, Tim?!" Her voice shouted in anger. Her feelings were completely shattered. "How could you do this to me? You said you could wait... you could wait, but then you go and do this with someone else! Ugh. How could you do this to me?" She sobbed. Feliz could no longer control her emotions. Her love was shattered. She felt like she was losing her balance, not knowing whether to slap the despicable man, scold him, or what to say first. Her hands and body were shaking.
"I'm sorry..."
"Let's break up... from now on, feel free to be with whoever you want." She turned to leave the room.
Tim grabbed her. "No... don't, Feliz... don't break up... I won't break up... I love you, Feliz... please don't leave me."
The sweet face lifted slightly before letting tears wash away the blindness caused by this foolish love.
"Let go of me, get your dirty hands off me right now!" Her small hands tried to pry off the strong hands that held her tightly, while he continued to speak persuasively to keep her. "I said let go!" When he refused to release her, she shouted loudly, but it was to no avail.
Grab, push, thud!
"Ah! Tim, what are you doing to me... let go!" The tall figure pushed the small one onto the sofa before climbing on top.
"Get out!" Tim turned to shout at Pam, who was just standing there watching the scene unfold. "Fine... since we're breaking up anyway... might as well have one last time!!" With that, Tim buried his handsome face into the fragrant neck of the small figure. It was a scent he had never even had the chance to experience before, not even once. Because every time, he would act like a gentleman to her. But now that the chance to be her boyfriend was over, he decided to follow his desires.
"Ah! No! Let go of me, Tim. Let go!!!" The small figure squirmed to avoid the disgusting touch of the person in front of her, who was attacking her intensely.
Thud, thud, thud.
Her small hands pounded forcefully on the tall figure's chest, but no matter how hard she hit, it didn't faze him in the slightest.
Grab, push, thud!
Just as the strong hands were about to tear Feliz's dress off, Charles suddenly burst in with Riz, leaping to kick Tim's body, causing him to fall backwards, and then launched into a relentless assault.
"Feliz... Feliz... I'm here!" Riz rushed in to embrace her dear friend.
"Take your friend out... I'll deal with him first!" Charles declared, stomping on Tim's body, who couldn't defend himself in time, unable to fight back because he was at a disadvantage from being knocked over.
