Chapter 7: You Can Trust Your Me

"Don't even think about doing something crazy—mmph!" Two hands grabbed the sweet face and then leaned down to press a repulsive kiss on the thin lips. The slender figure tried to push away the tall body, struggling and hitting, but it was futile because the person in front of her was much stronger than her small frame. "Do you know, Liz... that you smell so good all over?" a husky voice murmured with a sinister smile. "Open the door!!" "No! Help, please... help!" Thud! Grab! Feliz gathered all her strength to push the tall figure away from her, then quickly ran to the stairs, but the tall figure was quicker than she thought and caught her in time. "Let go!! Don't be disgusting like this with me, Tim. The more you act like this, the more I hate you!" Meanwhile... After the slender figure walked up to the dorm, Charles sat waiting for her to enter the room, his eyes sparkling as he watched the window intently, waiting for the light inside to turn on. But the light didn't turn on, which was unusual because it shouldn't take that long to walk up to the second floor, making him suspicious that something bad might have happened, so he followed her up. Feliz's dorm didn't have any security, so anyone could come and go easily. "Help! No, Tim. Don't do anything crazy, stop right now!" She screamed. As soon as Charles ran up to the second floor, he heard Feliz's voice and saw her ex-boyfriend harassing her. Thud, thump, smack! Charles rushed over, kicking Tem away from Feliz, and then relentlessly punched Tim's face. "You're a real bastard, you jerk!!!" Charles shouted angrily, punching Tim's face relentlessly, not giving him a chance to fight back at all. "You again! Why are you interfering in a relationship matter?" Tim said before bracing himself and throwing a punch back. "What kind of nonsense relationship you are talking about?!" Thud! After Charles finished speaking, he kicked Tim in the stomach, causing the tall man to collapse onto the floor in a heap. Feliz stood trembling at the door, her sweet face streaked with tears. She felt grateful that Charles came to help her, but at the same time, she was disappointed for having fallen for the wrong person like Tim. "Are you okay?" Charles asked with concern before approaching the trembling figure like a drenched little bird. "Thank you," the small figure expressed gratitude, feeling an indescribable warmth knowing it was him. "Pack your things... you don't need to stay here anymore..." Charles calmly told Feliz. "What?" "You can trust me... if you ever feel unsafe while staying with me, you can call Riz anytime... I promise I won't do anything to you... pack your things... move somewhere else... it's not safe here." "It's late... and I don't know where to go." "Pack your things first... I'll handle that," Charles' warm voice persuaded Feliz to unlock the door and pack her belongings. "And you... if you don't want to get hurt, stay away from Feliz!!" Before entering the room, Charles pointed at Tim and left him with a final warning. It made Tim very angry, but due to his current physical disadvantage, he could only manage to drag himself away. "I'll get you for this!" Tim threatened Charles. "Do you need help packing?" Charles asked Feliz as she packed her belongings into two suitcases. "Uh... no, thank you... you've already done so much," the small figure replied before continuing to pack her belongings. Charles sat watching the small figure busily packing from the small sofa in the room. His eyes roamed around the small rented room, taking in the bedroom, bathroom, and tiny balcony. The more he looked, the more he felt a sense of suffocation on her behalf. "Where are you taking me, Charles? Please find somewhere with affordable rent. I can't afford anything too expensive," the small figure said as she followed Charles, who was carrying her luggage to the car. "My condo..." "Huh?" She furrowed her brows in confusion. Was he helping her because he expected something in return? She wondered. "Stop! Don't make that face at me. Do I really look that untrustworthy?" Charles said, warning the young woman in front of him, guessing that she must be thinking something bad. "Honestly, no... You don't look trustworthy at all," she replied straightforwardly without any intention to hide. He sighed. "Alright, I get it... Let's just say I bought that condo and rarely stay there because I mostly go back home... I'm letting you stay there for free." "No, thanks... Just help me find a cheap place to rent, that's all I need," she refused. She refused him again, despite his good intentions. 'What a stubborn woman,' he thought. Maybe he should just marry her. "I've already told Riz, and she agreed... Just stay there, it's close to the university and convenient to get to the coffee shop... If you're concerned, I can charge you a small amount of rent, pay what you can afford." "Um... how can I be sure you won't try anything with me?" He sighed. "Seriously, there are two sets of keys and key cards. I'll give you one set and the other set on Riz. Does that make you feel more at ease?" "Alright then..." She pressed her lips together, feeling a bit nervous, before reaching out to open the passenger-side car door. Charles walked around to his seat before driving off to his luxurious condo.
