*SELENE* The call came from my father early in the morning. "We need to talk. Come home today." He said in a tone that said it was not a request, and hung up without waiting for a response from me. His usual way of forcing his decisions on me, whether I liked it or not. I sat up slowly, dread settling in my stomach. The drive back home took forty minutes.
