~Lora~ Michael’s eyes jumped, his brows furrowed together like he was trying to translate a language he didn’t speak. “What?” I snapped, irritated. “You’re joking.” He let out a short, dry laugh that died in his throat. He tried to shrug it off, but his shoulders stayed tight, locked in place. “No, I’m not, hubby.” I pointed a finger between the two of us. “I want an open marriage. You do you. I do me.” The words felt different on my tongue. They were the exact same ones he’d used to hurt me once upon a time. He dragged a hand through his hair, pacing in a small circle. “C’mon, Lora.
