I stood quietly in front of the large cafe, staring up at the glass building for a moment before slowly exhaling.
The weather had become cooler now. Gray clouds stretched across the afternoon sky, while soft wind brushed lightly against my skin and hair.
Adrian had already left for the office a few minutes ago.
But somehow, his last words still refused to leave my head.
“Sis… then why did Father say you were pregnant?”
“And how did he get those reports?”
My chest tightened again.
Because he was right.
None of it made sense.
Father had announced the pregnancy so confidently. But now the reports were fake.
So where exactly did they come from?
And why would he lie about something like that?
