Chapter 31: Colton's POV
I watched her sleep for a moment before I woke her, soundly like a child in safe hands. The flight to Bali is slower than I expect but I take comfort in watching her sleep.
Her lashes were dark against her cheeks, her lips were slightly parted. Her breathing was slow and even.
Peaceful.
She was dreaming again. I could see it in the way her brow furrowed slightly, the way her fingers twitched against the armrest, it made me wonder what she was dreaming about, I wondered if she was dreaming about him.
I didn't want to wake her, she looked so peaceful and beautiful.
But we'd landed. The team was already disembarking, and I needed to see her eyes.
"Ayla." I tapped her shoulder gently.
"Ayla, wake up."
She stirred.
