Chapter 28: Derrick's POV
I came home from work earlier than usual, it made the wait for Ayla even more longer. But I waited, it was a promise I made to her.
At 10:30pm, she was supposed to be home but she wasn't.
I can't go barging into Colton's staffhouse twenty hours after I promised to wait for her. I want to make Robin find her when I received a call.
It's Ayla.
But when I take the call, I hear another voice, Fiona.
Ayla had gotten drunk at the Krusty Nail.
The drive was not too far, but I'll drive a hundred miles for Ayla if I have to.
When I arrived, she had fallen asleep, the drinking knocked out.
I carried her to the car, her body limp in my arms, I strapped her seatbelt on and we drive back home.
