Kennedy woke up early the next morning, still not having adjusted fully to Pacific time. She spent twenty minutes scanning news reports, and when Scott drove her to the airport, they listened to a talk-show host making speculations about the Secretary of State’s visit to Pyongyang. Even though it was encouraging to hear Hamilton had finally managed to secure an audience with the North Korean general, nobody could confirm if she’d made any progress with Ian’s case. There wouldn’t be any more updates until the Secretary landed in DC later today.
