CHAPTER 52 Graduation Day “I’ve just got to hug you one more time.” Sandy reached over and swallowed Kennedy in her embrace. “Thanks.” She glanced at the Lindgrens’ clock. What was taking Ian and his grandma so long? Had they gotten lost on the way to the house? “You looked darling in that cap and gown,” Sandy said. “Feels like just yesterday you were in Cambridge on your own for the very first time. And now look at you, a real college graduate with a diploma and everything.” Kennedy didn’t have the heart to tell her that the piece of paper the dean handed to her on the stage was just for show.
